Chapter 1- My hiddeous life
I was born with only one parent, my mother. I had no idea who or why my father left. My mother never said a word about him. One day that all changed...
It all started when I was twelve. I woke up on my bed... wich was really the couch in our three room apartment. My mother of course yelled, "GiGi get up and get ready for school this instant!"
I shrugged, I hated my name, Gigi. It never seemed to fit me. Anyway I did what my mother told me and I got up and got dressed in jeans and a black t-shirt with some red design on it. It matched the natural red streak in the front of my hair. I walked out the house with some school books in my hand. My mother didn't bother to give me money for a bookbag AND lunch money. Outside was normal, hot, scorching hot. I didn't seem to mind it though, in fact I sorta liked it. I dreaded walking to the stop sign, the kids there always teased me because I went to a school for dyslexic people. I let out a sigh of relief when I saw they had already boarded there bus and left.
School wasn't much better than home. Sure, it was for dyslexic people, but I still failed everything they ever gave to me. Except gym class, that I didn't mind so much. You see I just didn't see any point in doing school work when you'll never get rid of your dyslelexia. My first class was Improvement in Reading class. Then the kid next to me, the really nice but perky Melony, turned to me and said, "Black again Gigi? Come one can't you where something other than black and red?!
"I don't know... I just, like it I guess" I said in reply to her. She then stared at me like something was wronge with me.
"There's some red thing floati-" She stopped and turned around to answer Mrs. Blekard, our teacher.
Before I knew it there was a giant hole in the floor, it was sucking everything in, wait- it only was sucking me in! I yelled for help but everybody didn't seem to notice, not even Melony who was now talking to someone else. I clenched my fingers to the end of the floor but sa voice inside my told me to let go, so I did, not knowing if I was seconds away from death.
