Kaajte sat near the heart of the woods Nightmare beside her as the souls of the lost floated softly by. The souls of the damned that where to never be helped to the underworld. She blinked softly at the slighty black tinged orbs as they called out for help. kaajte stared with emotionless obsiden eyes that changed to green then to a midnight blue. She longed to help the souls but didn't dare. Footsteps made the girl turn her head and push her black hair out of her eyes. It being down, this was going to be a reoccuring gesture.

"What are you doing?!" Raven asked walking up to this familiar girl she had met before.

Kaajte looked at the child of Hades, "Watching the souls of the damned roam. You shouldn't be out here."
She turned her head and tried to ignor the girl. There where a few red butterflies milling about Kaajte. Resting on her then taking flight. What the melencoly girl didn't understand was why she seemed to talk to the children of Hades more than anyother child of the gods.

"Why not?" she said swatting some flies away from her head. "And what the heck is watching the souls?" maybe this girl knew more about this stuff than she did, she hadn't been a demi-god here for very long.

"I see your soul," Kaajte said, "Your life force the one thing a person can not touch or shatter. I see it, I know it, and I know a million ways to shatter it and leave you incapable of love. You shouldn't be out here for the damned know your father and wont hesitate to strike you down or possess you."
Kaajte's hair blew softly in the breeze as she said this, obscuring her fetchers except for her color changing eyes.

"But... how do you know that?" she asked, starting to back away. She didn't want anyone to strike her down. Sometimes she wished her dad was someone like posiedon, but she had hades and she stuck up for him.

"I'm the daughter of Psyche. The goddess of souls and soulmates," Kaajte said, "It's my job to know. And fortunatly for you, stop souls, like the ones floating here tonight, from harming the living."

"Oh yeah, that's right. I guess all of them kinda hate me don't they... I don't see why Hades makes it so bad for dead people..." she sighed.

"They hate most of the living," Kaajte said with a small shrug. She remained still as a butterfly landed on her cheek.

"You might as well stay," Kaajte said, "Or I'll have to get up and make sure you get back safely and to be quite frank...it would risk the other campers. It's only till midnight, and the Harpes tend to stay away from me."

Kaajte's mouth twitched slightly into what seemed like a smile. It was gone in an instant though. Why was she so emotionless? Why couldn't she seem to find someone that made her feel anything? Was it the curse Eros had put on her at birth? She sighed and watched the souls as they seemed to dance.
"Do you see them?" she asked.

"Yes," Kaajte said, "You see the fog correct? I see the shapes and colors the souls themselves are. Its acutally quite lovely..."
